A good Job

To evaluate a good job you must not ask whether you like or dislike it; whether it pays higher than in your previous place of work; whether it is more prestigious. What you should look out for is whether it contributes to the welfare of the generality of people. If it does, it is a good job and there is no need to compare it with another good job. But if it is at the cost of levies and the welfare of others, you should turn your back on it. It is a wrong occupation.

The person who shines shoes for a living is doing a much more beneficial job to society than one who manufactures cigarettes that give lung cancer.

When the temptation to compete and compare yourself with others arises, remember that each of us has a special gift, talent, and capacity different from one another. If you know this truth you will not have cause for envy, self-criticism.

I was watching the last GHANA 2008 on television and saw what the players accomplished through sheer willpower and vigorous training. Also in another event — NUGA, I was impressed…
